KEY HIGHLIGHTS
Study Loan Programme:
RM266,500 was disbursed to 26 deserving students from diverse backgrounds, continuing the Foundation’s long-standing mission of providing interest-free educational loans. The loan repayment success rate stands at 74%, reflecting the responsibility and integrity of beneficiaries.
Scholarship Awards:
Through the Ajit Kumar Endowment Fund and the Lakshmi Nara Menon Educational Trust fund, the Foundation’s outstanding students were supported in pursuing degrees in medicine, law, and the sciences.
Donations and Membership:
The Foundation received RM294,000 in donations during the year and welcomed 13 new members, expanding its base of support and engagement. Current active AF membership stands at 638.
HOPE Initiative:
Spearheaded by the Vice President of AF, the initiative aims to make tertiary education more accessible for students from B40 and M40 households. It successfully raised RM500,000 in multi-year pledges, and the Foundation proudly celebrated the enrolment of the first HOPE Scholar, Ms. Aparna Baskaran, at Sunway College.
Cumulative Impact:
Since inception, the Foundation has disbursed over RM6.2 million in loans and scholarships to 1,640 students nationwide, demonstrating its sustained contribution to social mobility and educational access.
